Durante el mes de Junio, United Way Panamá, junto a sus socios Global Shapers Panamá y Unidos Por La Educación, viajaron a Penonomé, en Coclé, y David, en Chiriquí, para presentar el proyecto ‘Escuchando a la Comunidad’. Estas visitas buscan dar a conocer entre los jóvenes la metodología de escucha, al igual que los resultados del primer estudio que se realizó para saber que es lo que buscan los jóvenes panameños en términos de educación.

Visiting Penonomé & David with the ‘Escuchando a la Comunidad’ Project

During the month of June, United Way Panama, together with partners Global Shapers Panama and Unidos por la Educación, traveled to Penonomé in Cocle, and David, Chiriqui, to present the project ‘Listening to the Community’. These visits will seek to present the methodology among young listeners, as well as the results of the first study was conducted to know what young Panamanians seeking in terms of education.

Del 16 al 27 de Junio, 24 promotores de CEFACEI de las regiones de Panama Este, Oeste, San Miguelito, Colón, y Penonomé fueron capacitados dentro del programa ‘Nacer Aprendiendo’ con el objetivo de impulsar sus competencias y mejorar la calidad educativa de sus centros.

24 Teachers CEFACEI are Trained With Banistmo & Argos

In June 24 CEFACEI teachers from the regions of Panama Este and Oeste, San Miguelito, Colon, and Penonomé were trained as a part of the program ‘Born Learning’ in order to boost their skills and improve the quality of education of their centers.

Durante Junio, 19 voluntarios de CITI realizaron el primer taller de Finanzas Para El Cambio como complemento a las sesiones que están teniendo los jóvenes graduandos del Colegio Elena Chávez de Pinate. Durante los meses de Junio, Julio, y Agosto, este grupo de jóvenes compartirán durante cuatro sesiones con los voluntarios de CITI para conocer y entender más sobre sus finanzas personales.

Volunteers from CITI organize the First Workshop on «Finance for Change»

During April 19 volunteers from CITI organized the first workshops for Finance For Change to supplement the sessions that seniors of the Colegio Elena Chávez de Pinate are taking. During the months of June, July, and August, a group of students attend four sessions with volunteers from CITI to know and understand more about their personal finances.

En Junio, el grupo de voluntarios de la unidad GBS de la empresa P&G inauguraron las mejoras realizadas en el CEFACEI ‘Quiero Aprender’ en Chilibre. Los voluntarios aprovecharon para pasar un rato ameno con los niños del centro, realizando diferentes juegos y actividades de aprendizaje como parte del programa «Nacer Aprendiendo». Parte de este programa incluye mejoras a la infraestructura, equipamiento, y talleres a los niños para el fortalecimiento de su educación. El proyecto de remodelación del CEFACEI incluyó mejoras como: instalación de abanicos, mejoras del baño, instalación del cielo raso, e instalación de electricidad.

P&G Inaugurates the CEFACEI Quiero Aprender

In June, the group of volunteers from the GBS unit of P & G inaugurated the CEFACEI ‘Quiero Aprender’, to which a lot of infrastructure improvements where made. The volunteers took the opportunity to spend a pleasant time with the children from the center, organizing different games and learning activities as part of the «Born Learning» program. Part of this program includes improvements to infrastructure, equipment and workshops for children to strengthen their education. The remodeling project included improvements to the CEFACEI as installing fans, bathroom upgrades, ceiling installation, and installation of electricity.

En colaboración con el Ministerio de Salud y los voluntarios de Power Home & Family Care de Procter & Gamble Panamá, se organizó una gira médica y dental en el Centro de Salud de Kuna Nega, en el corregimiento de Ancón, donde se atendieron a más de 150 niños de la comunidad. La gira contó con estaciones de Peso y Talla, Farmacia, Odontología, y Vacunación. A los niños se les dio charlas informativas sobre el uso del cepillo de dientes y de cómo lavarse las manos correctamente. Además, los niños recibieron kits de cepillos y pastas de diente Oral-B y jabones Escudo.

P&G organizes Medical Tour in Kuna Nega

In collaboration with the Ministry of Health and volunteers from Power Home & Family Care at Procter & Gamble Panama, a medical and dental tour was organized in the Health Center Kuna Nega, in Ancon, where over 150 children in the community where treated. The tour featured Weight & Size stations, pharmacy, dentistry and vaccinations. Children were given briefings on the use of the toothbrush and how to wash hands properly. In addition, children received kits with Oral-B & Safeguard products.
