Durante todo el mes de Julio, se realizaron los últimos talleres de Finanzas Para El Cambio junto a los voluntarios de CITI, donde los graduandos del Colegio E. Chavez de Pinate, en Juan Díaz, aprendieron sobre la importancia de sus finanzas personales. El pasado 1ro de Agosto, además, se llevó a cabo la última sesión con los voluntarios y la graduación de los participantes.

Durante dos meses, 106 jóvenes aprendieron sobre la importancia del ahorro, como administrar adecuadamente sus finanzas, y cómo priorizar sus gastos para el futuro. Muchísimas gracias a los 11 voluntarios de CITI que brindaron su compromiso y apoyo al programa.

Finance for Change Comes to an End: Thank you CITI!

Throughout the month of July, the last Finance for Change workshops, led by CITI volunteers, came to an end. The workshops where aimed towards seniors of the Colegio Elena Chavez de Pinate in Juan Diaz, and they learned about the importance of their personal finances during this period. On August 1st, the last session with CITI volunteers and participants was held with a special graduation act for all participants.

For two months, 106 seniors learned about the importance of saving, how to properly manage your finances, and how to prioritize your expenses for the future. Many thanks to the 11 volunteers from CITI who gave their commitment and support to the program.

El 25 de Julio, United Way Panamá y 25 voluntarios de la unidad de Purchases de Procter and Gamble estuvieron en el CEFACEI La Primavera, equipando el centro con mesas y sillas nuevas para los 52 estudiantes del centro. Igualmente, se disfrutó de un rato ameno realizando juegos de arte, logico-matemáticos, y deportivos, y realizando una limpieza profunda de la escuela. ¡Gracias a todos voluntarios por su compromiso!

Deep Cleaning of CEFACEI ‘La Primavera’s’ facilities with P&G

On July 25th, United Way Panama and more than 20 volunteers from the Purchases unit of Procter and Gamble were in the CEFACEI ‘La Primavera’, equipping the center with new tables and chairs for the 52 students of the center. The volunteers and children also spent a pleasant time together, enjoying activities like art games, logical-mathematical games, and sports, and doing a thorough cleaning of the school. Thank you to all the volunteers for their commitment!

El pasado 11 de Julio, United Way Panamá y 12 voluntarios de P&G estuvieron en el CEFACEI «Sembrando Para El Futuro» en la comunidad de Mañanitas realizando una Gira de Higiene Personal. Estas giras están orientadas para que los más chicos aprendan de manera interactiva la importancia del lavado de manos y dientes en su salud. 50 niños y niñas se beneficiaron de esta gira de higiene personal.

Personal Hygiene Together Tour with P&G Volunteers in Cerro Silvestre

On July 11th, United Way Panama and more than 12 volunteers from P&G were in the CEFACEI «Sembrando Para El Futuro» in the community of Mañanitas, conducting a Personal Hygiene Tour. These tours are geared for younger kids to learn interactively the importance of hand washing and oral health. 50 children benefited from this tour, learning all about personal hygiene and receiving special dental and hygiene kits.

El pasado 4 de Julio United Way Panama estuvo en el CEFACEI Cerro Tigre en Arraiján junto a 12 voluntarios de Procter and Gamble y la Fábrica de Malvaviscos realizando una gira de Higiene Personal. Estas giras están orientadas para que los más chicos aprendan de manera interactiva la importancia del lavado de manos y dientes en su salud. Durante la gira, se aprovechó para embellecer el preescolar al pintar un mural alusivo al tema de lavado de manos e higiene bucal. Alrededor de 30 niños y niñas participaron de esta linda actividad. ¡Gracias a los voluntarios por su esfuerzo!

Personal Hygiene Tour with P&G and La Fábrica de Malvaviscos

On July 4th, United Way Panama was in the CEFACEI Cerro Tigre in Arraiján with 12 volunteers from Procter and Gamble and La Fábrica de Malvaviscos in a Personal Hygiene Tour. These tours are geared for younger kids to learn interactively the importance of hand washing and dental health. During the tour, volunteers took to beautify preschool by painting a mural alluding to the issue of hand washing and oral hygiene. About 30 children participated in this beautiful activity. Thanks to the volunteers for their efforts!

El 4 de julio se celebraron los 26 Años de la educación preescolar en Panamá por medio del Primer Encuentro Infantil organizado por United Way Panamá. En el encuentro, se reunieron los CEFACEI de Cerro Silvestre, Pasitos de Panai, Chilibre-Las Cumbres y 6 COIF Institucionales. Se compartió una mañana amena con charlas y talleres para los niñ@s y cuenta cuentos de los abuel@s, además de una bella presentación de tarima artística, donde los 200 niños de los preescolares demostraron sus destrezas artísticas. Durante este evento de celebración, Procter & Gamble, empresa socia de United Way Panama, entrego insumos de higiene bucal y lavado de manos a todos los participantes.

Celebrating 26 years of Pre-School Education in Panama

On July 4th, United Way Panama celebrated the 26 years of preschool education with the 1st Annual Pre-School Education Gathering. For the event, the pre-schools from Cerro Silvestre, Pasitos de Panai, Chilibre-Las Cumbres and 6 Institutional COIF, gathered together to celebrate. They shared a pleasant morning with talks and workshops for children & Grandparents’ storytelling, along with a beautiful artistic presentation where the 200 preschool children showed their artistic skills. During the celebration event, Procter & Gamble, a United Way Panama partner, distributed important oral hygiene and hand washing implements to all participants.
