Nacer Aprendiendo, programa bandera de United Way Panamá, logró en el mes de abril capacitar a más de 300 padres de familia a través de diferentes talleres de Escuela Para Padres en las áreas de Panamá Centro, Panamá Este, Panamá Oeste y Colón. En el mes de abril, los temas incluyeron la importancia de los valores en el hogar.

Born Learning trains more than 300 parents through its School for Parents

Born Learning, United Way Panama’s flagship program, trained more than 300 parents across Panama and Colón in April through its signature School For Parents. During the month, the theme for every training were the different values and its importance in the family nucleus.

United Way Panamá, junto a la empresa Deloitte Panamá, cerró el back-to-school con la entrega de una mochila con útiles escolares a los 400 estudiantes de la Escuela Primaria Santa Cruz en Villalobos, Pedegral. Muchísimos voluntarios se dedicaron a armar las mochilas, mientras un segundo grupo de voluntarios logró entregar a los 400 estudiantes los útiles que necesitan para este año escolar.

400 students celebrate the Back To School Season

United Way Panama with Deloitte Panama closed the back to school season by delivering backpacks with necessary school supplies to 400 students in the Santa Cruz Primary School in Villalobos, Pedregal. Several volunteers across Deloitte volunteered by packing the backpacks with the necessary supplies. A second group of volunteers made the delivery of the backpacks possible to every student. Thanks to everyone involved!

El pasado 17 de Abril, voluntarios de CAT realizaron un mural en el CEFACEI Cerro Silvestre en Vacamonte. El CEFACEI atiende a una población de 26 estudiantes. Al realizar mejoras de infraestructura en los preescolares, se les ofrece a sus estudiantes una escuela digna y mejora sus condiciones de estudio.

On April 17th, Caterpillar volunteers painted a beautiful mural at the CEFACEI Cerro Silvestre in Vacamonte. The preschool benefits 26 students in the community of Cerro Silvestre, Vacamonte. Infrastructure improvements like this, allow students to have a more dignified school, allowing them to have better studying conditions.

Junto a más de 100 voluntarios de las empresas socias de United Way Panamá, incluyendo Empresas Bern, P&G, CAT, HP, y Copa, se celebró el Día de las Buenas Acciones. Como parte del programa Conexión Parque, a través del cual se busca rescatar el derecho al juego de la primera infancia, se construyó un parque en el CEFACEI Los Pinitos en la comunidad de Nuevo Progreso, beneficiando a los 50 estudiantes del preescolar. Además de la construcción de parque, se logró sembrar un jardín y pintar un mural en las instalaciones de la escuela.

Celebrating the Day of Good Deeds with 100+ volunteers!

Along with more than 100 volunteers from member companies of United Way Panama, including Empresas Bern, P&G, CAT, HP, and Copa, the Good Deeds Day was held on Saturday March 14th. As part of the Playground Movement program, through which United Way Panama seeks to rescue the right to play in early childhood, a park was built in CEFACEI Los Pinitos in the community of Nuevo Progreso, benefiting 50 students from the preschool. Besides the construction of the park, volunteers were able to plant a garden and paint a mural on the school premises.

En 23 CEFACEI de las regiones de Panamá Centro, Este y Oeste, San Miguelito, Comarca, y Penonomé se han llevado a cabo las Escuelas Para Padre, complemento importante del programa Nacer Aprendiendo. Durante el mes de marzo, gracias a voluntarios de la Universidad Americana, más de 700 padres han podido entender la importancia de una merienda saludable para que sus niños lleven al colegio

Parenting School: The Importance of a Healthy Lunchbox

In 23 CEFACEI in the regions of Panama Centro, Este and Oeste, San Miguelito, Comarca, and Penonome, United Way Panama has been carrying out Parenting Schools, an important aspect of the Born Learning Program. During the month of March, thanks to volunteers from the Universidad Americana, more than 700 parents have been able to understand the importance and benefits of a healthy snack for their kids to take to school.
