Student United Way – Academia Interamericana de Panamá va por tercer año consecutivo al Student United Way Leadership Retreat

Student United Way – Academia Interamericana de Panamá estuvo, por tercer año consecutivo, en el Student United Way Leadership Retreat del 9 de Septiembre al 11 de Septiembre, en Alexandria, Virginia. Por parte de SUW-AIP, 15 estudiantes voluntarios participaron en diferentes charlas, talleres, y experiencias de liderazgo, junto a otros capítulos de Student United Way.

La conferencia inició con una charla por el CEO de United Way, Brian Gallagher, donde se conversó acerca de como las nuevas generaciones están cambiando el mundo de diferentes maneras disruptivas, y la importancia de poner a la comunidad primero a la hora de trabajar proyectos de transformación social.

Aparte, durante los tres días de la conferencia, y junto a otros panelistas, los estudiantes pudieron conversar acerca de innovación, voluntariado, organización de proyectos, y diferentes tipos de liderazgo.

Student United Way – Academia Interamericana de Panama goes, for the third consecutive year, to the Student United Way Leadership Retreat

Student United Way – Academia Interamericana de Panamá was, for the third consecutive year, in the Student United Way Leadership Retreat from September 9th thru September 11th in Alexandria, Virginia. As a part of SUW-AIP, 15 student volunteers participated in different talks, workshops, and leadership experiences, along with other university and high school chapters of Student United Way.

The conference kicked off with a talk by United Way CEO Brian Gallagher about how the new generations are changing the world in different disruptive ways, and the importance of putting the community first when it comes to working on social transformation projects.

In addition, during the three days of the conference, along with other panelists, students were able to talk about innovation, volunteering, project organization, and different types of leadership.

Por tercer año consecutivo, UWP organiza ‘Mamás Seguras, Bebés Felices’ junto a P&G + Voluntarios de Panamá

El pasado sábado 8 de septiembre, junto a P&G Panamá y Voluntarios de Panamá, se empacaron 600 bolsas de salud materna para madres indígenas de la Comarca Ngäbe Buglé. Estas bolsas, distribuidas a los diferentes albergues del Ministerio de Salud de Panama en el área comarcal, contienen insumos esenciales para la salud e higiene personal de la mujer durante su embarazo y el nacimiento del bebé. Igualmente, se realizó la construcción de cajas de emergencia en casos de desastres naturales en conjunto con la Cruz Roja Panameña.

For the third consecutive year, UWP organizes ‘Mamás Seguras, Bebés Felices’ with P&G + Voluntarios de Panama

On Saturday, September 8th, along with Procter & Gamble Panama and Voluntarios de Panamá, 600 bags with health implements were packed for indigenous mothers of the Comarca Ngäbe Buglé. These bags, distributed to the different shelters of the Ministry of Health of Panama in the area, contain essential supplies for the health and personal hygiene of the women during her pregnancy and the birth of the baby. Likewise, the construction of emergency boxes was carried out in cases of natural disasters in conjunction with the Panamanian Red Cross.

#ConexiónParque llega a Wagandí junto a voluntarios de Banistmo

El pasado 3 de Septiembre, voluntarios de Banistmo Panamá estuvieron junto a United Way Panamá realizando diferentes actividades de voluntariado en el CEFACEI Wagandí, en el área comarcas de Wagandí.

Como parte del programa ‘Nacer Aprendiendo’, se realizaron mejoras de infraestructura al preescolar, mejorando así el área de trabajo de los 25 estudiantes. Además, durante la jornada de voluntariado, se construyó un parque infantil y se realizó la pintura de diferentes murales alrededor del centro como parte del proyecto ‘Conexión Parque’.

A través de ‘Conexión Parque’ y la construcción de parques infantiles en los preescolares de la red de Nacer Aprendiendo, se busca rescatar el derecho al juego de la primera infancia panameña.

The Playground Movement arrives in Wagandí with volunteers from Banistmo

On September 3rd, volunteers from Banistmo Panama along with United Way Panamá, spent one morning in the preschool CEFACEI Wagandí, in the area of Wagandí.

As part of the ‘Born Learning’ program, infrastructure improvements were made for the preschool, thus improving the working area of 25 students. In addition, during the day, volunteers built a playground and painted murals along the school.

Through The Playground Movement, we build parks to regain the right of our preschoolers to play and develop their creativity.

Ponte En Algo lanza la campaña ‘Dona Tu Talento’

“Dona tu Talento” es el título de la nueva campaña presentada por Ponte en Algo, plataforma virtual de voluntariado (www.ponteenalgo.com) que motiva y conecta a los panameños interesados en ser voluntarios con más de 170 organizaciones sociales, ambientales y cívicas que forman parte de la plataforma.  La campaña motiva a los panameños a ser voluntarios donando sus habilidades, destrezas y conocimiento para transformar vidas y comunidades.

Ponte en Algo es una plataforma digital que se desarrolla en alianza entre United Way Panamá, Fundación Sus Buenos Vecinos, y Voluntarios de Panamá.

Ponte En Algo launches the campaign ‘Dona Tu Talento’

“Dona Tu Talento» is the title of the new campaign by Ponte en Algo, a virtual volunteering platform (www.ponteenalgo.com) that motivates and connects Panamanians interested in volunteering with more than 170 social, environmental and civic organizations that are part of the platform. The campaign encourages Panamanians to volunteer their skills, abilities and knowledge to transform lives and communities.

Ponte en Algo is a digital platform that is developed in partnership between United Way Panama Fundación Sus Buenos Vecinos and Voluntarios de Panamá.

El pasado 19 de agosto, más de 70 voluntarios de Procter & Gamble Panamá estuvieron junto a United Way Panamá realizando diferentes actividades de voluntariado en el CEFACEI Tierra Prometida, en el sector de Alcalde Díaz.

Como parte del programa ‘Nacer Aprendiendo’, se realizaron mejoras de infraestructura al preescolar, mejorando así el área de trabajo de los 25 estudiantes. On August 19, more than 70 volunteers from Procter & Gamble Panama, along with United Way Panama, spent their morning in the preschool Tierra Prometida, in the area of Alcalde Díaz, doing different activities with the students, as well as building a park, and painting murals.
